The New Year is almost here!
I don't know about you, but my only New Year's resolution will be to try to slow down a bit more. I'm making headway in that direction, little by little. I'm sorry to say that'll mean fewer books from me, but probably still at least 2 a year, with reissues thrown in.
And for 07, there are lots and lots of reissues! :-)
First, something cool for a friendly acquaintance!
Harriet Klausner has reviewed if not all, then most of my books. She has a quirky style, a flair for unusual groupings of words, and now she's been recognized by TIME magazine! http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1570726,00.html
TIME magazine says that Harriet is the #1 Amazon book reviewer in the world. Wow. I feel honored that she reads me!
Once long ago, when my first book was published and RT gave me the lowest rating possible - a 1 - I ran into Harriet at a national conference. She took my arm, pulled me aside, and told me plainly, "You can write. You're good. Don't worry about that review."
And so I never have. I don't worry about any reviews really, thanks to Harriet. I will always have a great fondness for her and the kindness she showed to a very new author.
Here's to you, Harriet Klausner! You're # 1!
To celebrate the new year, I've added some awesomely cool things to my site, and... drumroll please...

Yes, the author who almost never does contests now has one.

Also on the CAUSING HAVOC page, new photos added, an incredible interview with an MMA fighter, and some awesome fighter photos, courtesy of my friend Shana in California, and Scott Newell of www.MMA-Global.com.
And just to help gear you up for CAUSING HAVOC (out in a little over a month - Feb 6th) here's the Publisher's Weekly review:
"Orphaned at nine, Dean "Havoc" Conor has grown into a tough-as-nails extreme fighter happy to live a solitary life. When he receives a letter from his two little sisters, who he hasn't seen in the twenty years since their parents died, Dean reluctantly decides to honor their request and return home to Harmony, Ky. Once there, he finds that the aunt who raised his sisters has squandered most of their inheritance and that one of his sisters, Cam , is engaged to a sleaze named Roger. He also meets Cam 's best friend, Eve Lavon, an opinionated beauty who already has the commitment-phobic Dean figured out. However, if Dean's going to drive off Roger and figure out why someone in Harmony is trying to kill him, he'll need Eve's help-and he'll have to confront his growing feelings for her. More interesting, though, is Dean's struggle to become the family man his sisters need, a transformation that Foster executes with skill, elevating the tight if typical romance plot with convincing, heartfelt family drama." Also added to my site:
A new anthology book cover! The anthology won't be out until next Christmas, Oct 07, but it's a super cute cover.
Title: I'M YOUR SANTA.
My story is titled "The Christmas Present." Why you ask? Well, so many readers told me that they wanted to revisit Noah Harper and Ben Badwin, and they wanted to see more of Kent and Brooke, that I wrote them into a short story featuring Kent 's daughter as the heroine. You'll get a chance to catch up with everyone from that set of books. I hope you like it - and I'm sorry it's not out until NEXT Christmas! <grin>
With the new cover, I've updated my printable one-sheet calendar, so check that out too! It'll help you to keep track of all my books coming out next year, new and reissues.
While you're browsing the web, I'd like to recommend a great new site by my *very* talented author friend, Louisa Burton - http://louisaburton.com
Her first major release, House of Dark Delights, will be available Jan 30th, and you don't want to miss it!
The book is a mainstream fiction trade paperback, the first in a series about incubi and succubi, and it's highly erotic, so you may not want to send the link to Grandma.

Blogs:
I continue to blog every other Friday at Running With Quills. www.runningwithquills.com
Any friendly reader (or new reader!) who visits has my unqualified gratitude. LOL
Please note: The Quills are taking a wee vacation until the New Year rolls in. Then we'll back with our blogging hats on and raring to go. (ha! - but we'll try.
)
For anyone in Ohio , Indiana , or Kentucky ... I'll take part in a multi-author signing in February. It'd be great to see you there!
Book signing:
February 10th
Time 1:00 to 3:00
BARNES & NOBLE
9455 Civic Centre Blvd
West Chester , 45069

Bookmarks & Book Covers:
I have bookmarks for CAUSING HAVOC and SIMON SAYS . Because the books are closely related (yet independent!) it's a 2 in 1 bookmark. CAUSING HAVOC is on one side and SIMON SAYS is on the other.
As usual, all the covers and bookmarks I have are free to anyone who sends me a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope. A regular sized business envelope is fine for bookmarks, but if you want a book cover, I'll need an envelope at least 7" x 9".
Please send your SASE to me at:
Lori Foster
P.O. Box 854

-- Please remember, I do my best to answer all the mail that I receive, but I can answer a lot quicker if you always include a SASE. Thanks!
Keep smiling!
