Volunteers and Contact Information
The following are a list of volunteers with their respective positions.

REGISTRATION
Christy Haynes – will once again head up our registration. You must register and pay online. At the event, tables will be set up right outside the main ballroom – straight ahead of the entry doors. You must receive your badge before taking part in Get Together activities. Any last minute questions or concerns with registration should be directed to Christy.

Questions concerning registration deadlines should still be directed to Lori at .

WELCOMING COMMITTEE
Barb Hicks – is organizing our welcoming committee. Is this your first time to the Get Together? Unsure what to expect? Bad Barb (who is really quite nice!) is heading up our "Welcoming Committee" this year. Contact her with any questions, or just to meet with a friendly face.

RAFFLE COORDINATORS
Beth O'Neill (aka LadyB), Kaleen Cooper, and Marcie Robinson

The proceeds from this year's raffle will once again be given to One Way Farm, a phenomenal organization that provides help and care for abused, abandoned, and neglected children. If you would like to donate a prize for our raffle this year, we would be delighted to hear from you! In fact, we MUST hear from you! To ensure we have the appropriate number of raffle tickets, bags, and tables for set-up, we need to know how many raffle prizes to expect.

This year we are trying something new for our Raffle registration! To notify the Raffle committee about your prize, please fill out the Prize Submission Form at: www.tinyurl.com/LoriFosterRaffle

The three red-asterisked items are mandatory; all other items are optional, yet helpful. If you need any information or have any questions prior to filling out the Prize Submission form, please feel free to email the Raffle Committee at . However, all prize information needs to be submitted on our nifty new form! You will receive a confirmation email with additional information shortly after clicking "Submit." If you do not receive the confirmation within 24 hours, please re-submit the form.

PLEASE fill out this form if you even THINK you want to bring one, but you're not sure! Every year we have between 20-30 unexpected prizes brought to the event, which are a lovely surprise, but a logistics challenge! We would much rather "over-plan" than "under-plan." Thank you all for your generosity, and we're looking forward to the best and most fun raffle yet!!

For those so generously donating to our raffle -- We are strongly encouraging our donators to wrap their donations in cellophane, or similar. Our event has grown so much we may need to spread out into the lobby, and a covering on your basket or prize (if it contains multiple items) may be a deterrent against curious fingers. Rest assured, the safety and security of your donation is one of our top priorities! Our raffle prizes will be monitored to the best of our ability.

For those hoping to win fabulous prizes at the raffle -- Raffle tickets will go on sale at 7:00pm Friday evening (time subject to slight changes.) As always, raffle tickets will be 2-for-$1, so start saving now! Prior attendees have found bringing a stamp with your name or address or mailing labels to stick on the raffle tickets saves you time and writer's cramp!

TRANSPORTATION
Joni Anderson – I am Joni Anderson, the transportation coordinator and am in need of volunteers to help transport out-of-town attendees from each of the
two airports, Cincinnati and Dayton to the event and return them at the end of it. ONLY VOLUNTEER if you can ensure riders you pick up are returned by you to the airport at the end of the event. Your help with this feat is greatly appreciated. Please contact Joni Anderson at with the subject heading "Volunteer for Airport Transportation" if you're able to help! Let me know which airport you'll be helping to provide transportation at and how many passengers your vehicle will hold (including room for luggage)!

Passengers requesting rides: The hotel does not provide shuttle service but each airport does for a nominal fee to the event's hotel if volunteers from the event are not able to assist you. In your email post, please note the number of bags you'll be bringing and your flight itinerary. Contact me for further details on the shuttle/van services available at and I'll provide that information to you.

— Please note, that event coordinators and volunteers cannot guarantee a
ride, and we hold no responsibility for transportation to and from the
airports. This is strictly a goodwill gesture, not a promised service.

TROOP COLLECTION
Laurie Damron – TROOP PROJECT UPDATE! Once again, I will be accepting donations for the troop project. We have supported troops in all branches of the military since that very first year and have mailed in excess of 1,200 pounds worth of goodies/supplies. This year, given that there will be close to 500 attendees, I am requesting that donations be made with cash, check, or gift cards. I drive a VW Beetle and will be driving a friend to and from the airport. With our luggage, I simply do not have room to take home boxes of tangible items. If a gift card is the way you'd prefer to help, stores I have access to are WalMart, Target, Meijer, Kroger, and Giant Eagle. Trust me, no amount is too small. I can promise you that every cent donated goes to purchase and mail items to the troops and everyone who donates will be entered in the troop raffle which this year will include a $100 Barnes and Noble gift card (and other goodies!). Thanks so much for your understanding - and your continued generosity!

As always, if you have a friend or relative who is currently deployed and would like them to receive a package from us, please provide me with their information and I will do what I can to make sure they are included in our mailings.

PHOTOGRAPHER
Kathy Andrico – 1) Group Photos: Time TBD: We always have an All-Authors and group photo
time set aside. If you are part of a group (authors, publishing house,
online loop, book club) that would like a group photo, please contact me. I
have started a tentative schedule for the photos. If you wish for your
group to be included, please email Kathy Andrico at

2) Basket Winner Photos - If you are donating raffle baskets, and want a
photo of the winner, please be sure to tell the The Wonderful Raffle Ladies
when you notify them of your baskets. Please also provide the email address of where I am to send the photo(s).

Authors whose books can't be acquired by BN may bring their books to sell at their author table (don't forget change for your transactions!)

The bookseller cannot handle ebooks, HOWEVER, keep in mind that with WiFi available, you can be your own bookstore.

Benefit Books Available for Purchase:

Each year, Lori Foster organizes what she calls a "benefit book" anthology with the help of other authors who each contributes a novella for the anthology. Berkley publishes the books through special contracts so that all author and agent proceeds on sales are mailed directly to the charity of Lori's choosing. The on-sale date of the books coincides with the Get Together, but you can find them at any bookstore. When you purchase a benefit book, you not only get great stories from some of the most talented authors in the business, but you help those with the greatest need. Thank you.

Lori Foster
Erin McCarthy

Kathy Love

Six award-winning and bestselling authors present a never-before-published anthology touching upon the obstacles people confront in their lives-and those who help heal their hearts.

No one is free of wounds from their personal history-yet some go deeper than others. Though stronger for it, everyone needs some support to overcome their stormy pasts. And nothing helps more than two big, strong arms pulling one tightly in to an even bigger heart; a man who knows how to respect and protect. These stories feature women who are survivors of bitter pasts, and the good men who have become stronger for understanding them. Together they can overcome anything, with a love born of compassion.

The authors are donating all of their proceeds from The Promise of Love to One Way Farm, a charitable organization.
